Abstract

Online Game Addiction is a form of addiction caused by internet technology or what is known as internet addictive disorder. Online Game Addiction that occurs both in the world and in Indonesia, especially in adolescents, is continuously increasing. This study aims to determine the relationship between online game addiction and social interaction at SMK Barunawati Jakarta. This quantitative research with cross sectional design, samples were taken by random sampling as many as 100 respondents. This research was conducted from May 2021 to July 2022. The data collection in this study was in the form of a questionnaire. The results of the Chi square bivariate analysis showed that there was no relationship between online game addiction and social interaction in Barunawati Vocational High School students P=0,520. Researchers recommend teenagers who are addicted to limiting their activities in playing online games by playing with friends or joining organizations at school so that the social interaction of teenagers who are addicted to online games increases.
